Rahul Bajaj is Chief Investment Officer and Founding Partner of III Ventures. He leads the firm's investment strategy, underwriting, portfolio construction, and risk management, and oversees investments across III Ventures, related funds and SPVs, and portfolio companies to ensure disciplined capital deployment and repeatable decision-making aligned with LP priorities.
Rahul brings 28+ years of global institutional investment experience spanning the multi-manager landscape with a focus on equity, fixed income, credit, and quantitative portfolios, along with 15+ years of senior leadership across public and private markets. His deep expertise includes trading and execution, quantitative research, capital markets, broker relationships, and portfolio risk management. His career includes senior roles at Balyasny Asset Management, where he served on the management committee, Deutsche Bank, and Spear, Leeds & Kellogg (acquired by Goldman Sachs).
Throughout his career, Rahul has built, scaled, and led high-performance investment teams across multi-strategy, equity, fixed income, and quantitative platforms. He is known for establishing institutional investment processes with clear decision rights, measurement standards, and operating cadence that improve transparency from company-level KPIs through fund-level outcomes.
Rahul earned a B.S. in Economics from New York University and supports the New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Pediatric Department.
Outside work, Rahul is a proud father to two young daughters. He enjoys boxing, golf, training, yoga, reading, and volunteering.
